Arbor Lite clears green waste across Logan: limbs and branches after a prune, whole-tree debris, storm drop, palm fronds, hedge clippings and full garden clean-out loads. Most of what we collect goes through the chipper on site and leaves as mulch. The rest goes to a licensed Logan waste facility. We run our own chipper and tipper out of Greenbank, so a pile that fills a trailer and a pile that fills a truck are both handled in one visit.
Palm is the exception worth knowing about. Palm trunk and frond will not chip, so it goes to the tip and is charged by weight, which is why a palm clean-up prices differently to the same volume of eucalypt. GREEN WASTE REMOVAL

Post-pruning and post-removal debris. Every prune and removal we do includes the clean-up, and we take away work other crews have left behind. Limbs feed through the chipper on site, so a canopy that filled the back lawn leaves as a few barrow loads of mulch.
Storm debris clearing. After a South East Queensland storm the ground is a mix of green limb, split structural timber and fence palings. We sort it as we load, because the green fraction is chipped and treated timber cannot be. Anything resting on a roof, a fence or a power service gets flagged before we touch it.
Palm and frond removal. Palm fibre wraps a chipper rotor, so palm leaves the site whole and is weighed in at the tip. A mature cocos trunk is far heavier than it looks, which is why we ask what species is coming down before quoting.
Garden clean-outs. Overgrown beds, lantana, camphor laurel suckers and years of prunings stacked behind the shed. We cut, load and sweep. Where a pile has soil or building rubble mixed through it we separate that out, because it cannot enter a green waste stream.
GREEN WASTE PRICING
Green waste is priced on volume, species and access. As a guide, a debris clean-up on a standard suburban block runs $250 to $700. Palm sits above that range for the same volume, because it cannot be chipped and is charged at the tip by weight, with dumping upwards of $200 a tonne.
Prices exclude GST and are a guide rather than a quote. Small loads sit at the upper end because travel and setup do not scale down, and we quote after seeing the pile.
There is one way to bring the number down. If you have somewhere on the property for mulch, say so at the site visit and we leave the chip behind. That removes the disposal leg from the job entirely.
Volume is the obvious factor and the least interesting one. Species matters more. Eucalypt and wattle chip cleanly. Palm and cycad do not, and a load carrying palm attracts a tip fee that a load of gum avoids.
Access decides the rest. A chipper that can back onto the driveway handles a full canopy in about an hour. The same canopy behind a locked side gate, carried out by hand, is most of a day. Steep blocks through the Cornubia and Shailer Park ridges are the usual culprit.
Timing plays in as well. For the fortnight after a major storm every crew in the city is committed, and that is when green waste takes longest to book.
